ImageKind
No doubt about it: ImageKind is the best on demand print and order fulfillment service out there for us “indy” artists. I think so anyway… and I’m not alone on this one.
Sign up for a free gallery; upload your image file(s) and write your description(s); set your price(s). That’s pretty much all there is to it to get going! Your customers make their purchases (and get fulfilled) entirely by ImageKind — you just worry about pumping out stuff people will want to buy.
In case you’re curious, here’s my ImageKind gallery of photographs.
Print quality is excellent. No surprise: They do giclee prints and only use archival quality, pigmented inks and acid-free media. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of my test purchases (something I always do before I commit to a POD provider) — I could tell that they care about delivering quality work.
Something neat: Your “customers” not only can select size and media (including canvas)… if they want, they can also have a wide variety of mat, frame and glazing options (customers see a real-time “preview” of their finished product deliverables after incorporating their selections). Even better: YOU make a 15% commission on mat/frame/glazing sales, above the profit you’re already making from the sale of the print.
Very, very smart. And very highly recommended!
Of course, I (and, I’m sure, everyone else here) would always like to hear about your ImageKind experiences, good or bad. Comment below, or contact me.
