Sell Your Art on Stock Sites

Photography, Markets — Deanna on April 4, 2007 at 6:55 pm

It’s easy! iStockphoto, Dreamstime, Shutterstock and many more stock sites are allowing artists to submit their photographs, illustrations, Flash files — and now videos — on their sites.

iStockphoto users usually boast of generating the most income. So that would be your best place to start.

But go ahead and try them all out. Become a member (it’s free). Read their uploading instructions which provide rules and tips on what will and what won’t be accepted… and lots of great information to boot for beginning photographers and illustrators.

Answer a few questions and begin to upload your favorite photos or illustrations. You’ll be making money in no time, and will continue to make money for as long as you choose to keep your images on their sites. Be sure to let me know when your work’s been accepted. I’d love to be there when you get your first 100 downloads.
